Thomson and Cathiness join eight other Scots in search of Tour cards
Ten Scots have entered next month’s Ladies’ European Tour qualifying school, including this year’s Curtis Cup duo of Krystle Caithness and Michele Thomson.
Lynn Kenny, who finished at No.91 on this year’s Order of Merit, and Jenna Wilson, who was 125th in her rookie season, have both been forced to return to Tour School and are the only Scots in the final qualifying at La Manga in Spain in the middle of January.
The pre-qualifying starts at la Manga on January 5, and the eight hopeful Scots are Caithness, Thomson, Vikki Laing, Pamela Feggans, Kylie Walker, Jocelyn Carthew, Karyn Burns and Emily Ogilvy.
Clare Queen was the highest-ranked Scot on the Tour this year, finishing 48th on the Order of Merit. But that was a slightly disappointing nine places lower than last season.
