Scottish ladies in the hunt at French Women's Open
Lynn Kenny plus rookies Vikki Laing and Pamela Feggans were on level par 72 and led the Scottish challenge at four strokes behind Finland’s Ursula Wikstrom after the first round of the Randstad French Women’s Open at Arras.
Laing had four birdies, while Kenny and Feggans had three-a-piece to stand in a share of 27th place and they were one ahead of another Scottish rookie, Krystle Caithness, with the experienced Clare Queen another shot back on 74.
Wikstrom had five birdies before dropping her only shot of the day at the 17th to lead by one from England’s Samantha Head and Swden’s Anna Tybring.
