Scotland’s Sally Watson has qualified for the matchplay stages of the US Women’s Amateur Championship at Old Warson Country Club in St Louis, Missouri.

The 18-year-old shot rounds of 74 and 73 and safely made it through to the top 64 after the strokeplay qualifying.

England’s Jodi Ewart (148) and Ireland’s Stephanie Meadow (150) also succeeded in getting into the knock-out phase.

Sally sacrificed the chance to play in last week’s Ricoh Women’s British Open at Sunningdale in order to compete at St Louis.
