Queen and Kenny fade

Sweden's Lotta Wahlin claimed an astonishing 12 shot victory with a final round 70 in the inaugural Garanti American Express Turkish Ladies' Open at the National Golf Club, Antalya.

Over a tough tree and water-lined course made even more difficult due to rock hard greens, the big-hitting 24-year-old proved to be in a class of her own and finished on five under par 285, and a dozen shots better then the three players in second place, Johanna Westerberg (71), Stacy Lee Bergman (72) and Paula Marti (74).

Lynn Kenny produced her best round of the week, and a closing 74 lifted her into a tie for 33rd place on 16 over par. Clare Queen, the other Scot to make the cut, was tied for 45th on 19 over after a 75.

Wahlin's winning margin was the second widest in the 29 year history of the Ladies' European Tour. Laura Davies won the 1995 Ladies' Irish Open by 16 shots.
