Pamela Pretswell leads Scottish Women’s Amateur Championship after day one
Scottish internationalist Pamela Pretswell (Bothwell Castle) was the top scorer on a tough opening day at the Scottish Women’s Amateur Championship at Southerness.
In the first round of the 36-hole stroke-play qualifying, Pamela shot three over par 76 and led by a shot from last year’s SLGA Order of Merit winner, Kylie Walker (Buchanan Castle).
With the cream rising to the top, Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar), the Scottish Under-21 Strokeplay Champion, and Angus County Champion, Ailsa Summers (Carnoustie Ladies), were tied for third place on 78.
