Janice Moodie hits top form at LPGA Classic in Hawaii
Scotland’s Janice Moodie produced a superb third round 68 to move into the top 12 with a round to play at the Kapalua LPGA Classic in Hawaii.
The Glasgow 34-year-old is enjoying a good end of season run, and she stood on two under par and just three strokes behind a group of four leaders that included the Swedish Solheim Cup player, Carin Koch.
Koch shot a third round 68 and joined Morgan Pressel (67), Jee Young Lee (70) and Brittany Lang (71) in the tie at the top.
Moodie, a three-time Tour winner, is currently lying 62nd on the LPGA money list with close to $200,000. Catriona Matthew, who has not played in America for the past month, remains the top Scot in 41st place with close to $400,000.
But Mhairi McKay is in danger of having to return to Tour School. She is lying in 113th place with just over $80,000.
