Glasgow's Janice Moodie was one of only 20 players to break par on the opening day of the inaugural Stanford International Pro-am played over two courses in Miami.
Playing over the Miller course at the Turnberry Isle resort, Moodie birdied the final hole for a one under par 69 and was just two shots behind South Korea's Young Kim. American Paula Creamer and Japanese rookie, Momoka Ueda, shot scores of three under 68 to lead over the slightly longer Soffer course.
Turnberry's Mhairi McKay had a 71 over the Miller course, and North Berwick's Catriona Matthew, who has missed the last two cuts, finished on 74 on the same track.
