Monty insists winning feeling will return at Scottish Open
European Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie is convinced he can still win tournaments as he returns to home soil at the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond.
The 46-year-old has sunk to 200 in the world after a terrible start to 2009 but showed glimpses of a return to form at the French Open last week.
The seven-time European Order of Merit winner finished tied for 13th in France, a result which has given him a huge confidence boost.
"There are people on the tour who are older than me who have won and I believe there are still a few wins in there somewhere for me," said Montgomerie.
"I've just got to keep going and believe in myself, if I do that then I am halfway there.
"If I don't believe in myself it will never happen again for me but last week in France gave me a boost."
