Catriona Matthew tied for 33rd with one round to go
North Berwick’s Catriona Matthew, who is almost seven months pregnant, shot a third round 73 and was tied for 33rd place on two over par with 18 holes to play at the HSBC Women’s Champions in Singapore.
Australia’s Katherine Hull, who won the ANZ Ladies’ Masters last month, shot a superb 66 to lead on 11 under par. She had a comfortable three shot lead over American Angela Stanford, who also shot six under in the third round.
In her final tournament before taking four month maternity break, Matthew, who won the HSBC Brasil Cup in January, had birdies at the eighth, ninth and 13th, but she also dropped four shots in the Asian heat.
Glasgow’s Janice Moodie, the only other Scot in the field, was tied for 53rd spot after a 73, her best score of the week.
