Heavily pregnant Catriona Matthew in contention at HSBC Women's Championship
Scotland’s Catriona Matthew, who is almost seven months pregnant, added a 73 to her opening 72 and was tied for 32nd place on one over par 145 at the halfway stage of the HSBC Women’s Championship in Singapore.
Americans Paula Creamer and Jane Park both shot matching scores of 71 to share a one stroke lead over the field on six under par. Defending champion Lorena Ochoa slipped out of the top ten after a 73 for two under par.
In her final tournament before taking a four month maternity break, Matthew, who won the HSBC Brasil Cup in January, birdied the 11th and 15th, but had a double-bogey at the seven at the long 13th and dropped another shot at the sixth.
Janice Moodie, the second Scot in the field, was tied for 54th spot after repeating her opening score of 74.
