Matthew out a three Scots chase Swedish title
North Berwick's Catriona Matthew is not defending, so it is left to Clare Queen, Lynn Kenny and Jenna Wilson to try and make it back-to-back Scottish victories in the Scandinavian TPC at Frosaker Golf Club in Sweden.
Matthew won her fifth career title at Barseback last year, but is unable to dfeend as she is playing in the Canadian Open next week. She has to play in Ottawa to fulfil an LPGA Tour rule that demands members play a tournament at least once every four years.
"It is disappointing because I always enjoy going to Sweden and it was great to win last year," she said. "But I have to go back to the LPGA Tour."
Annika Sorenstam is the tournament host at Frosaker - and it will be her final appearance in Sweden before she retires from tournament golf at the end of the year.
She has won the title six times, and is firm favourite to make it number seven.
The 37-year-old is also playing in the Nykredit Masters in Denmark next month.
The 37-year-old former world No.1's final tournament will also be a Ladies' European Tour event - she will defend the Dubai Ladies' Masters in December.
