Lynn slips back

Archerfield’s Lynn Kenny, the only Scot to make the cut, shot weekend rounds of 75 and 74 and dropped back into a tie for 67th place at the ANZ Ladies’ Masters that was won by home state favourite, Katherine Hull, at the Royal Pines Resort on Australia’s Gold Coast.

Kenny, who finished on five over par, will now join Clare Queen as the two Scots in this week’s Australia Women’s Open at the Metropolitan Club in Melbourne.

Hull, the 26-year-old Canadian Open Champion, started the day with a thee shot lead and increased it to five thanks to a great final round of 68. She finished on 11 under par.

Fellow-Australian Tamie Durdin shot 70 to snatch second place with South Korea’s 18-year-old So Yeon Ryu (67), while Wales’ Becky Brewerton, a joint first round leader, was the top British player in joint 12th on seven under after a 71.
