

Kenny and Queen finish 13th for the second year running in Spain
Scotland’s Lynn Kenny and Clare Queen finished in 13th place – the same as last year – after a closing round of one under par 71 at the Comunitat Valenciana European Nations Cup in Spain.
The Dutch pair of Marjet van der Graaf and Christel Boeljon claimed the title with a closing 68 and an 18 under par total. They won by four shots from Italy’s Giulia Sergas and Vernoica Zorzi, who shot a fantastic 62 under the greensomes format, Australia’s Nikki Garrett and Joanne Mills (71) and 54-holes leaders, France. Gwladys Nocera and Anne-Lisa Caudal slipped back with a74.
England’s Laura Davies and Lisa Hall, the defending champions, had eight birdies in a last day 66 and climbed into outright fifth place on 13 under par.
Kenny and Queen finished on one under par after a round of five birdies, a double-bogey and two dropped shots. Wales’ Becky Brewerton and Lydia Hall posted a 70 and were ninth in the 20-team event on seven under par.
