Laird looks forward to Loch Lomond in between US and British Opens
Martin Laird failed to make the cut at the US Open but he's set to be boosted with an invite to the Barclays Scottish Open.
The 26-year-old, the only Scot competing at Bethpage, finished at five over after a second round of 71.
But the Glasgow golfer, who has been on the US Tour for the last two years, is expected to be handed one of the ten special invites at Loch Lomond.
Laird has already qualified for The Open at Turnberry next month and admits another tournament on home soil would be a fantastic.
"There's a meeting this week to decide the Scottish Open invitations and that would complete a dream two weeks for me,2 said Laird.
"I would love to play at Loch Lomond before the Open."
