Kylie Walker hoping to repeat success at in St Rule Trophy at St Andrews
Kylie Walker picks out last year’s win in the St Rule Trophy as her career highlight and she will be aiming to stage a successful defence at St Andrews this weekend.
The Buchanan Castle golfer was disappointed to lose at the quarter-final stage of last week’s Scottish Championship at Southerness – but two good rounds in Fife could help her secure a place in the GB and Ireland team for next month’s Vagliano Trophy match in Germany.
Megan Briggs (Kilmalcolm), the new Scottish Champion, is also in a strong international field. With an upper handicap limit of 2.5 the list includes players from Germany, Australia, Belgium and New Zealand in addition to the four home countries.
Other strong home contenders include Pamela Pretswell (Bothwell Castle), Louise Kenney (Pitreavie), Emily Ogilvy (Auchterarder) and Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar).
