Krystle makes move

Scotland’s Krystle Caithness, who finished in the top 20 on her professional debut in last week’s Swiss Open, continued an impressive start to her Ladies’ European Tour career with a third round one under par 71 at the HypoVereinsbank German Open.

The 20-year-old from St Andrews stood on level par for a share of 28th place and she was the leading Scot alongside Lynn Kenny, who also shot 71.

Spain’s Solheim Cup player, Paula Marti, led the tournament on 14 under par after a 66 and she led by a shot from Germany’s Martina Eberl, who had a 67.

Musselburgh’s Vikki Laing, another rookie, dropped shots at the final two holes for a 73 and was on one over par, while Clare Queen, the fourth Scot to make the cut, slumped to a 76 for four over par.
