Krystle in top five

Krystle Caithness continues impressive form at ABN Amro Ladies' Open
Scottish rookie Krystle Caithness continued her super start to her Tour career with an opening round of four under par 68 in the ABN Amro Ladies’ Open at Eindhoven in the Netherlands. The 20-year-old from St Regulus highlighted her round with an eagle at the long 15th and finished in a tie for fourth place and just three strokes behind the leader, Thailand’s Titya Plucksataporn. The Carrick’s Clare Queen was just a shot behind Caithness and also in the top ten after a four birdie 69, while Musselburgh’s Vikki Laing opened her account with a fine 71. Michele Thomson (72), Pamela Feggans, who made her comeback from an ankle injury with a 74, and Lynn Kenny (79) completed the Scottish scores. Caithness, one of the Henderson Rookies, had a top 20 finish on her LET debut in Switzerland last month and is already the leading Scot this season. She had birdies at the ninth and 12th in a flawless opening 15 holes and bounced back from a bogey at the 16th by picking up another stroke at the 17th. Plucksataporn led by one from Italy’s Diana Luna with Norway’s Marianne Skarpnord, the winner of the Swiss Open, in third place on 67.
