Kenny within touching distance at Turkish Open
Scotland's Lynn Kenny edged into the top 15 as Sweden's Lotta Wahlin surged into a seven shot halfway lead over a tough course at Garanti American Express Turkish Ladies' Open at the National Golf Club, Antalya.
Kenny birdied the last for a second round 76 over a long, tree-lined lay-out made even harder by the exceptionally hard greens. So much so, that the organisers were forced to step up the irrigation.
Kenny had two bogeys and a double in the first 12 holes, but managed two late birdies - including one at the 18th - to stand on seven over par and in joint 13th place.
The Carrick's Clare Queen, who finished sixrth in last week's Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies' Scottish Open over her home course, had a second successive 78 and was tied for 33rd on ten over par.
Strathaven's Jenna Wilson, last year's Scottish Amateur Champion, followed her opening 81 with an 82 and missed the cut by three shots.
Wahlin repeated her opening 71 to stand alone in sub-par figures. On four under, she was seven ahead of the winner of last week's Scottish Open winner, Gwladys Nocera (72) and Sweden's Emma Zackrisson (74).
