Kenny and Feggans finish strongest

Lynn Kenny and Pamela Feggans the only Scots to make the cut
Spain’s Beartiz Recari claimed her maiden Ladies’ European Tour title in stunning fashion when she holed out for an eagle two at the first hole of a sudden-death play-off against Denmark’s Iben Tinning in the Finnair Masters at Helsingin.
Only two Scots made the cut, wih Archerfield’s Lynn Kenny closing with a 70 for a tie for 20th place on two under par. Ayrshire rookie Pamela Feggans shot a final round 72 for one over par.
Another two rookies – Vikki Laing and Michele Thomson – were unlucky to miss the cut by a single shot. Laing had rounds of 75 and 70, while Thomson posted 73 and 72.
Recari led by five shots going into the final round, but the 22-year-old displayed her nerves as she followed scores of 65 and a course record 64 with a 73 for an 11 under par aggregate. The more experienced Tinning, a five time Tour winner and a two-time Solheim Cup player, matched the total with a joint best of day 68.
But on a day that included a 50-minute delay for an electrical storm it was the youngster who produced the sparkling shot – holing out with a four iron from 175 yards at the play-off hole (the par four 18th) - to claim a title worth £23,000.
Wales’ Becky Brewerton, the Solheim cup player, shot 71 on the final day and finished in a four-way tie for third place on seven under par.
