Janice Moodie planning on return to Ladies' European Tour
Scotland’s Janice Moodie, who recorded only her second top five finish in seven years at the Navistar LPGA Classic in Alabama last week, is ready to commit more to the Ladies’ European Tour.
“The (American) LPGA circuit has lost a lot of tournaments and become a bit scrappy,” claimed the 36-year-old. “I’m going to play in Dubai in December and then start off next season with a trip to Australia.
“They are all part of the LET and, next summer, I’ll come back to Europe when we have a week off on the LPGA.”
Moodie, a two-time winner on the LPGA, admits that it was her selection for the Solheim Cup in August that has helped her regain her form.
“I practised really hard in the weeks before and after the team was announced,” she continued. “I was so grateful that (Captain) Alison Nicholas gave me a wild card and I wanted to prove she was right.”
She did – she won one and a half points from three matches.
With her son, Craig, now three years old, Moodie, who is married to American Tim Carneval, says that life on the road is becoming easier. “Golf is the priority at the moment. We may have another child, but not yet.”
