Imrie and Queen finish joint 6th

French Solheim Cup player Gwladys Nocera claimed her sixth European Tour title with a final round 69 in the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies' Scottish Open at the Carrick, Loch Lomond.

The 32-year-old birdied the last for five under par 208 and won the £23,000 by two shots from Swede Maria Boden (68). The Carrick's Clare Queen (70) and Monifieth's Kathryn Imrie (71) were the joint top Scots, sharing sixth place on level par. For 25-year-old Queen, it equalled her best result on Tour.

Imrie started the day three shots off the lead, and closed to within one after back to back birdies at the second and third. But she then had a disastrous triple-bogey seven at the fourth after hitting two balls into water.

"I started so well but then had one terrible swing and then an unlucky shot at the fourth," said the Californian-based 40-year-old. "But it's still been a great week.

"I'm working with a new coach and there has been a massive improvement. Now I've got a run of five tournaments and if I can keep playing like this then it will be great."

England's Rebecca Hudson was in a tie for third place on two under after a 68.

Hudson, who won the European Cup for England with Trish Johnson in Spain last month, raised her hopes of a follow-up victory with a run of four birdies in a row from the 11th and another at the 17th.

But she threw away a chance to pile the pressure on Nocera by dropping a shot at the 18th in back nine of 31. She three-putted and the second one was no longer than three feet.
