Forsyth prepares for World Cup challenge at Dunhill Championships
Alastair Forsyth is convinced he and partner David Drysdale have what it takes to bring home the World Cup for Scotland – but first he has this weekend’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship to contend with.
The 33-year-old – who competed in the World Cup with Colin Montgomerie last year – will tee up with Drysdale at Mission Hills in China on November 26.
And the Scottish No. 1 is convinced a good performance at St Andrews this weekend could be crucial to Scotland’s chances.
He said: “I’ve competed in the World Cup a few times now and it seems to get bigger every year.
“Monty and Marc Warren won it two years ago and I would love for David and I to go out there and do the same.
“It’s a great course and a good test of golf so everything is set-up for it to be a good tournament.
“But before that there is the Links Championship which is another brilliant event so I would love to go there and put a marker down for the rest of the season.”
