Sam Torrance confident of another European win at 2010 Ryder Cup
Ryder Cup winning captain Sam Torrance has backed fellow Scot Colin Montgomerie to take Europe back to where they belong at next year's tournament at Celtic Manor.
America upset the applecart last year winning for the first time in four years as they saw off Nick Faldo's troops 16-11 at Valhalla in Kentucky.
But Torrance, who led Europe to Ryder Cup glory at the Belfry in 2002, believe lessons have be learnt from last year's campaign and is adamant under Montgomerie history won't repeat itself.
"We will be a better team, a better team than last year and we will be better prepared," said Torrance.
"Everyone knows we didn't play as well as we could have and there will be a hunger among the team not to let that happen again.
"We have won the last three out of four times and last year was just a hiccup in our domination. We will continue to dominate and next year will be no different."
