David Drysdale rising up the ranks on European Tour
Scottish golfer David Drysdale moved ever closer to booking his ticket in the Race for Dubai after climbing up to 49th in the European Tour Rankings.
The 34-year-old’s joint eighth-place finish at the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Cologne saw him rise 11 places.
Only 60 places are up for grabs for the Dubai World Championship which has an incredible $10,000,000 prize pool up for grabs.
The next highest place Scot Gary Orr is back in 71st place with Paul Lawrie in 77th and Colin Montgomerie virtually out of the running in 99th.
And Drysdale is adamant he will do whatever it takes to make sure he takes part in the inaugural event which starts on November 19.
He said: “Dubai has been my goal from April and I will travel anywhere between now and then to get into the event.”
