Clare Queen and Lynn Kenny have been chosen to play for Scotland in the second Comunitat Valenciana European Cup at La Sella Resort in Alicante from April 23-26.

The opening continental event of the Ladies’ European Tour season, Queen and Kenny will be aiming to improve on last year’s tie for 13th in the field of 20 teams.

England will defend the title won by Trish Johnson and Rebecca Hudson, although this year the team is Laura Davies, who won last month’s Women’s Australian Open, and veteran Lisa Hall.

The USA is to be represented by Hall of Famer Beth Daniel and four-time major champion, Meg Mallon, while Wales have named Becky Brewerton and Lydia Hall.

The 72-hole event is made up of various forms of foursomes and fourball.
