Catriona aims high

Catriona Matthew, the Scottish No.1, has moved up to No.45 on the LPGA money list with almost £175,000 in season's earnings after a top 20 finish in last week's Canadian Open.

The North Berwick golfer will be looking for another good performance at this week's Safeway Classic in Portland.

Glasgow's Janice Moodie and Turnberry's Mhairi McKay, who have both had top ten finishes over the Columbia Edgewater Club, are also in the field headed by world No.1 and defending champion, Lorena Ochoa.

The Ladies' European Tour is in Oslo for the SAS Maters and Lynn Kenny, Kathryn Imrie and Jenna Wilson carry Scottish hopes.

Clare Queen, the best of the Scots this season at No.41 on the money list, is taking a week's break.
