Carly awarded Glenalmond Scholarship

Scotland’s talented 16-year-old Carly Booth is back from America and delighted to have been offered the first golf scholarship to attend the prestigious Glenalmond College in Perthshire.

“I’m delighted to be at Glenalmond, everything about the school is really good,” said the Cutis Cup player. “I’m in the lower sixth and studying for four A levels – English, business, physical education and art.

“I also get plenty opportunities to play golf, either at the school’s course, Gleneagles or at our own course at my home in Comrie.”

Carly has spent the last couple of academic years in America – in Florida and then Arizona.

“The Scottish weather isn’t quite so good,” she pointed out. “But I am going back to the States around Christmas time so I can see my fiends and get some golf in the sun.”

Before then, she will have another sunshine trip to Abu Dhabi to defend the Daily Telegraph Junior Championship.
