Walter Smith expects tough encounter with Romanians in Champions League
Walter Smith is determined his side will not come unstuck against surprise Romanian champions Unirea Urziceni when they line-up tomorrow in the Champions League.
Rangers currently lie bottom of Group G with only one point from their opening two games and behind the Romanians on goal difference.
And Smith knows that his side will have to be at their best at Ibrox to keep their hopes of qualifying for the knock-out stages alive.
He said: “We’ve watched them play in a lot of different formations and they have shown they are obviously a good side.
“It’s not often that smaller clubs come up against bigger clubs in their country and come out on top – but they did that against Steau Bucharest.
“If we were against Bucharest everyone would say it was a hard game so we need to take the good parts from our European games and take them into this one.”
