Burley left to sweat with injury worries ahead of Dutch clash
Scotland boss George Burley faces an anxious wait before he names his team to face Holland in the crucial World Cup qualifier with a number of his squad sitting out training on Monday.
Goalkeeper Craig Gordon is having intensive treatment on a thigh strain while Steven Fletcher has a cold and Scott Brown, who bagged the opener in the 2-0 win over Macedonia, is struggling with an ankle problem.
With James McFadden suspended and Callum Davidson already ruled out through injury, Burley has called-up midfielders Gavin Rae and Graham Dorrans from Cardiff and West Brom as reinforcements.
Assistant boss Terry Butcher said: “A couple of the players aren’t available to us on Wednesday so we have added Gavin and Graham to the squad.
“They give us more bodies and options in midfield and with players missing it’s a chance for others to step-up and show what they can do.”
