Scotland may face Wales in friendly to christen new Cardiff City Stadium
Scotland look set to become the first international side to visit the brand new Cardiff City Stadium next month.
The Scottish FA are locked in negotiations with their Welsh counterparts to stage the game on November 14.
If they get the green light, George Burley’s men will lock horns with Wales 98-years after becoming the first national side to visit the Bluebirds’ old ground, Ninian Park, in March 1911.
The Scots have a hole in their international calendar after failing to make the World Cup play-offs following their defeat to the Netherlands last month.
Scottish internationals and Cardiff City players Ross McCormack, Gavin Rae, Chris Burke, David Marshall, and Kevin McNaughton will need no introduction to the 26, 828 capacity stadium.
Should the game go ahead, Scotland will be eyeing revenge for the 4-0 humbling at the Millennium Stadium when the two sides last faced off in 2004.
