Celtic striker Georgios Samaras has launched a scathing attack on title rivals Rangers ahead of their must win clash with Hearts on Sunday.

The 24-year-old and his Celtic team-mates sit two points behind Rangers and rely on Walter Smith's troops dropping points at Dundee United to stand any chance of regaining the Scottish crown.

Celtic clawed their way back from an eight point deficit to win their third straight title last year and Samaras believes Rangers would be undeserving champions.

"If they are going to win it hats off to them but it is our mistakes that have let them," said Samaras. "I think we are a better team than Rangers and I don't think they deserve it.

"But I am trying to think just about our game, trying to play good football and get three points, we will see in the end if we are going to win the title or not."

It is all to play for at the bottom as well with Falkirk needing to beat fellow relegation rivals Inverness to dramatically avoid the drop on the last weekend.

A draw for Hamilton against St Mirren will be enough for them to ensure a place in the top flight next season while the Buddies need a win to assure safety.

Elsewhere Motherwell host Kilmarnock on Saturday while Aberdeen welcome Hibernian to the Pittodrie Stadium a day later.
