Rangers set to open new season with repeat of Scottish Cup final against Falkirk
Rangers open the defence of their Premier League title next season against Falkirk ? in a repeat of May?s Scottish Cup final.
Walter Smith?s troops beat Falkirk 1-0 a month ago at Hampden Park and will host the managerless Bairns on August 15 following the release of the 2009/10 season fixtures.
Runners-up Celtic ? under new manager Tony Mowbray ? travel to Aberdeen led by Mark McGhee while newly promoted St Johnstone welcome Motherwell.
St Mirren ? who narrowly avoided relegation last season ? face a trip to Easter Road to play Hibernian, while Dundee United host Hearts and Kilmarnock clash with Hamilton Academical.
The first Old Firm derby will take place on October 3 with the second clash marking a return to the traditional New Year fixture on January 2.
