Mowbray convinced Celtic will kick-start European campaign
Boss Tony Mowbray insists Celtic will come good when it matters as they attempt to get their Europa League campaign back on track against Hamburg.
Mowbray’s men have taken just one point from their opening two games and are rock-bottom of Group C but a win would allow them to overtake the injury-hit German giants.
Celtic have defenders Glenn Loovens and Andreas Hinkel back in their squad and Mowbray said: “It’s not a must-win game unless it is the last game of the season – I won’t put unnecessary pressure on my players.
“I judge my team on performance levels and that was fine against Motherwell – we just didn’t take the chances we created.
“Hamburg are a high-quality team and have some excellent footballers. They are missing some of their quality players but they have the squad to cope with that.
“If we are going to beat them we will have to push above our weight but that’s what Celtic have done in the past.”
