McCarthy admits he couldn't have won young player award without support of manager
Hamilton winger James McCarthy maintains he would not have scooped the PFA Scotland's Young Player of the Year without the support of manager Billy Reid.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a stunning debut season in the SPL and bagged another both goals in the Accies' 2-1 win defeat of Kilmarnock.
McCarthy has been continually linked away with a move from New Douglas Park and the teenager conceded he will listen to any offers on the table.
He said: "My whole family have been great with me and the gaffer's been a huge influence on me.
"He gave me my chance at 15 and it's just a dream come true to be playing in the SPL at the age of 18.
"I'm happy with what I'm doing for this club and if someone comes in, we'll sit down and speak."
