May lands Falkirk hotseat

Falkirk have revealed a new three-man managerial dream team following John Hughes' departure to Hibernian.

Former Bairns youth team coach Eddie May will be at the head of the trio, which includes former Scotland defender Steven Pressley as his assistant while Alex Smith has been appointed the director of football.

May, who also had two spells as a player with the club, has been part of the coaching set-up at the club for five years and is convinced he can build on Hughes' good work.

"I want to help the club move onto the next level and I want to reward the board for giving me this chance," said May.

"It's a big challenge. I was offered the job a week ago and it took me a couple of days to accept as I wanted to see who could assist me.

"Steven Pressley is a great leader of men and a fantastic organiser and Alex Smith has done everything in the game."
