New Falkirk coach May grateful for 'huge honour' ahead of Euro debut
New Falkirk boss Eddie May has thanked predecessor John Hughes for delivering European football before departing for Hibernian.
May replaced Hughes last month and will take charge of the Bairns first ever European tie against Vaduz in the second qualifying stage of the Europa League.
The Liechtenstein side are coached by former German winger Pierre Littbarski and will arrive in Scotland with a wealth of European experience.
They lost to Livingston on away goals at the start of the 2002-03 season and May said: "They are in Europe every year and this is a tricky tie for us.
"But to have my first game as a manager in Europe is fantastic.
"I'm grateful to John and Brian Rice for the job they did before me and it's a huge honour to be leading the club in its first ever European game."
