Inverness going down after Falkirk grab win to save season
Michael Higdon's eighth goal of the season saw Falkirk escape relegation on the final day of the season at the expense of Inverness.
Higdon climbed off the bench to send Inverness through the trap door to Division One, firing home from Jackie McNamara's pass in the 68th minute.
Inverness, who only needed a point to stay up, had been up against it after Ross Tokely had been red carded for a foul on Steve Lovell.
St Mirren survived the drop on goal difference after they slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Hamilton with Simon Mensing grabbing the only goal.
Elsewhere, Mehdi Taouil's 90th minute strike handed Kilmarnock all three points courtesy of a 2-1 win at Motherwell.
Danny Invincible had opened to scoring for Kilmarnock in the 27th minute before Cillian Sheridan equalised from close range.
