Craig Gordon looking unlikely to be for for Norway clash in August
Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon is set to miss the World Cup qualifier against Norway next month after knee surgery.
The 26-year-old Sunderland stopper went under the knife in May but was due to be fit in time for the start of the Premier League campaign.
George Burley's squad travel to Norway for the game on August 12, three days before the start of the season, but Gordon is unlikely to take his seat on the plane.
Stadium of Light boss Steve Bruce said: "Craig is a concern, it's currently ongoing with his knee.
"He's been in rehabilitation but I'm talking about him not being fit for the start of the season.
Cardiff City's David Marshall and Rangers keeper Neil Alexander are both on standby to grab the number one jersey in Oslo.
