Gallacher replaces injured Gordon

Scotland boss George Burley has called up St Mirren goalkeeper Paul Gallacher for the friendly clash with Wales.

The 30-year-old, who won the last of his eight caps five years ago in Estonia, has replaced the injured Craig Gordon.

Gordon fractured an arm in Sunderland’s defeat at Tottenham at the weekend and Burley had no hesitation in sending for the in-form St Mirren keeper.

And Gallacher could come face-to-face with Buddies team-mate Andy Dorman after he was called up to John Toshack’s squad for the clash at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Rangers defender Steven Whitaker could also miss the trip after he limped out of the 2-1 win against St Mirren at the weekend with a hamstring problem.
