Celtic's Scottish Somalian Feruz makes headlines again
Celtic youngster Islam Feruz stole the headlines again by notching the only goal of the game as Scotland under 16’s beat Wales 1-0 in the Victory Shield.
The Somali-born star had been in the news recently due to new Fifa rules making him eligible to play for Scotland due to having been schooled for in the country for five years or more.
But the 14-year-old let his boots do the talking last night by grabbing the only goal of the game after just nine minutes.
Feruz charged down an attempted clearance before beating another defender and calmly chipping the ball over Wales keeper Christian Dibble - son of former Rangers goalie Andy.
The 14-year-old made his international debut for the under 17 side on October 21 - setting up a goal for fellow Celtic player Callum McGregor in a 2-1 loss to Cyprus at East End Park.
