Falkirk expect to name new manager by end of this week
Managerless Falkirk have announced they expect to name the successor to John Hughes before the end of the week.
Hughes left the Bairns last week for SPL rivals Hibernian and the Brockville board have been busy sorting through the applications.
Former Scotland international Steven Pressley and Eddie May, the head of youth development at the club, are believed to be leading the race for the job and could even link up as joint bosses.
Ex-Dundee boss Alex Rae, former Celtic star John Hartson and current players Jackie McNamara and Neil McCann have also been linked and a statement insisted they will make a decision in the near future.
?Negotiations are ongoing in the appointment of the new manager,? the statement read.
?The club hopes to be in a position by the end of this week to announce the appointment of the new manager.
?The club are taking their time in making this appointment and will not be rushed into a decision.
?The club will only announce the appointment once all the negotiations have been confirmed.?
