Davis and co to forget midweek heartbreak and get on with business
Rangers midfielder Steven Davis is convinced he and his team mates can bounce-back from their mid-week international heartbreak when they face Motherwell on Saturday.
The 24-year-old Ulsterman was left devastated after Northern Ireland crashed to a 2-0 defeat to Slovakia on Wednesday to leave their hopes of World Cup qualification hanging by a thread.
And with Scotland’s dreams of South Africa 2012 dashed by the Dutch, Davies knows how important it is to get back to winning ways with Rangers.
He said: “It’s important that after the disappointment we all had that we get back out there and kick-off at Fir Park.
“We need to keep winning and the best way to do that is to start straight away tomorrow and continue our recent form.
“We’ve started really well and we’ve improved with each game and hopefully that can continue against Motherwell.”
Meanwhile, Old Firm rivals Celtic will be looking to keep-up their own 100 per cent record with victory over third-placed Dundee United.
Hearts will be hoping for their first win of the season against a Kilmarnock side who haven’t won since their 3-0 opening day victory over Hamilton.
St Johnstone will be without defender Kevin Rutkiewicz and striker Peter MacDonald for their trip to seventh placed St Mirren.
And Hamilton will take on Hibernian in Sunday's game while Aberdeen will travel to Falkirk for their clash on Monday evening.
