Caldwell confident ahead of Moscow mission

Celtic will come out all guns blazing in an effort to overturn Dinamo Moscow’s 1-0 lead in the second leg of their Champions League qualifier – according to defender Gary Caldwell.

The Bhoys lost to an early Alexander Kokorin strike in the first leg at Celtic Park last week, but Caldwell believes the extra week’s training has put Celtic in a great position to overturn the deficit.

Dinamo are already 15 games into their league campaign and Caldwell, who was named the SPL player of the year last season, insists Tony Mowbray’s men will be playing on a more even keel after their pre-season trip to Sunderland on Saturday.

Caldwell said: “I think we got caught cold in the first 20 minutes of the game at Parkhead but we will be better equipped in Moscow. You will see a big improvement from us.

“Dinamo are in the middle of their season so I don’t think you will see much more improvement from them.

“But we will be a lot sharper and you will see a different team than you saw at home and we’re confident of turning this around.”
