George Burley believes Norway's chances of qualification rely on victory against the Netherlands
Scotland boss George Burley believes Norway's chances of World Cup qualification could be over if they lose to the Netherlands on Wednesday.
Norway were held to a goalless draw in Macedonia on Saturday and their South Africa dreams hang by a thread as they sit bottom of Group Nine with just three points.
Scotland must wait until August for their next World Cup qualifier when they travel to Oslo to face Norway.
But Burley said: "Norway need points now, they've only got three so far and they need to get things moving.
"If they lose in Rotterdam, it's a must-win for them against us on August 12. They'd need to win all their games then.
"It's a competitive group. Not long ago, Norway went over to Germany and won in a friendly, so they're a good side but every game is very difficult."
