Gary Bollan set to take the reins at newly-saved Livingston
Livingston are set to name former Rangers defender Gary Bollan as their new manager next week.
The club was on the verge on liquidation until Gordon McDougall and Neil Rankine stepped in on Thursday to fund the club for the upcoming season.
Bollan has a wealth of experience as a player in Scotland, having played for Dundee United, Rangers, St Johnstone, Motherwell, Clyde and Brechin City as well as Livingston.
But the 36-year old has only taken charge of two SFL games as caretaker manager of Clyde last season.
Bollan will be joined on the coaching team by former teammate and ex-Cowdenbeath manager Brian Welsh.
And John Murphy, promoted to head coach by departing chairman Angelo Massone, is expected to remain at the club in a coaching role.
