Former England captain Tony Adams expresses an interest in Celtic post
Former England captain Tony Adams believes he is leading the race to become the new Celtic manager as part of a dream team with ex-Bhoys boss Wim Jansen.
Adams, who was sacked by Portsmouth in February, has worked with Jansen at Feyenoord and he has claimed they are set to link up at Parkhead following Gordon Strachan's departure.
Jansen could be installed as technical director with the former Arsenal defender taking charge of team affairs.
"Wim is a good friend of mine and he is probably in at Celtic, it would be him as technical director and me as manager," said Adams.
"By saying manager, it is kind of a head coach's position really because once you have a technical director like you have in Europe, they help with recruitment.
"These people help in the boardroom and I never had that at Portsmouth and it would work for me.
"Celtic is an unbelievable club and you have a 50 per cent chance of winning something in that league."
