Scotland crash to 3-0 defeat against Wales

George Burley's Scotland crashed to new depths after a lacklustre performance against Wales with Aaron Ramsey running riot.

Scotland started the better side but it was their keeper David Marshall who was called into action first, tipping Sam Ricketts' in-swinging cross over the bar after two minutes.

And David Edwards opened the scoring for the home side after 16 minutes in superb style.

Ramsey exchanged passes with Ricketts before crossing to Edwards who smashed home an unstoppable volley from 12 yards.

And Ramsey was involved in another fine move for Wales' second, slipping in Ched Evans down the left who fired in an undefendable low cross which Simon Church converted for his first Wales goal on the half-hour.

And 18-year-old Ramsey capitalised on some poor Scotland defending to get his name on the score sheet ten minutes before half-time as Toshack?s side cruised to victory.

Scotland lost possession in midfield and the Arsenal midfielder skipped past Gary Caldwell as if he wasn't there before bundling past Darren Fletcher and slotting home.

If Burley gave his side a stern team talk at half-time then it didn?t show and Marshall should have been sent off moments after the restart for handling Evans? shot outside the penalty area.
