Kruse going to Beijing
Richard Kruse has won an amazing reprieve and is set to compete at the Beijing Olympics after all.

The Scot missed out in last month's qualifying event by just one hit.

But now the international federation have granted him a wildcard entry to compete in Beijing.

Kruse, who competed in the foil at the Athens Olympics four years ago, now has just one hurdle left to clear.

The British Olympic Association need to ratify Kruse's entry but that should be a formality.
