Scotland's Monique McCarroll and partner Sarah Barrow finished seventh out of eight at the Canada Cup Grand Prix diving event in Montreal.
The British duo totalled 316.62 in the women's open platform synchro event.
The title was won by China's Lin Ruo Chen and Xin Wang who scored a total of 356.10 ahead of Australia's Melissa Wu and Briony Cole. Canadians Emilie Heymans and Marie-Eve Marleau picked up the bronze medal.
McCarroll and Barrow did improve on the points total of 313.20 that they scored in the FINA World CUp earlier this year.
They have already qualified for the the Beijing Olympics
