Disappintment for Scots

McCarroll and Galashan twins miss Olympic selection
There was disappointment for Scottish divers at the GB Olympic trials in Leeds.
Monique McCarroll missed out on selection in both the individual 10-metre platform and the synchro event with partner Sarah Barrow.
She was second at one stage in the individual event but then dropped down the scoreboard after a disappointing fourth dive.
Stacie Powell (Southampton) won the event to book her Olympic place and also partnered Tonia Couch (Plymouth) to success in the synchro event.
McCarroll and Barrow, the British champions, were second in the synchro event with Helen and Carol Galashan, who represented Scotland at gymnastics at the last Commonwealth Games, third.
